On monday Tomas and Dmitry lost their first Round Doubles match to Leander Paes and Tommy Robredo really close 1:6 7:5 10:8. Today Tomas played his first Match against Russian Marat Safin. Safin beat Cilic in the first Round. Tomas had a bye. It was Tomas first Match after his ankle injury. Tomas lost to Marat 5:7 4:6.  He has no more problems with his ankle. His next Tournament will be the Arag World Team Cup in Düsseldorf (Germany). Starting Sunday 18th May. He will team up with Ivo Minar and Pavel Vizner to present the Czech Republic.

The Draw for the Masters Series in Hamburg (GER) has been made. Tomas is number 9 seed and will face Marin Cilic or Marat Safin in the first Round singles. This match will be played Monday or Tuesday. In doubles Tomas is playing with Dmitry Tursunov (RUS). They will face Leander Paes/Tommy Robredo (IND/ESP) in the first Round. "My ankle is good, now I will see how it will be in a match." said Tomas on Saturday in Hamburg.

Tomas is back on the ATP Tour after his injury from the Davis Cup. In the last 4 weeks he rested and practiced to come back to his old form.  At the Masters Series Tournament in Hamburg (GER) Tomas will be back . " On Wednesday I sat together with my Coaches and the Physio and there is no reason why I shouldn´t play in Hamburg. I feel good and can´t wait to play matches again" said Tomas. The ATP Masters Series Tournament in Hamburg starts next Monday.

Since last week Monday Tomas is back on Court, at the moment he is practicing with ATP Pro Michal Tabara (CZE) in Prostejov. The feet is healing faster than expected. Tomas has no more pain and the ankle didn´t swell. This week he has to adapt to the moves on clay and come back to his rhythm. "We will see how the ankle reactis on harder practice. Tomas started to hit from one place without moving on the court, then he started running and playing shots and it was good. He only needs to be careful on swift moves to the side" said Jaroslav. Tomas said "At the end of the week I will decide if I go to Hamburg or wait and start in Dusseldorf. We got a wildcard there [Dusseldorf]." "The first week after Moscow I only tried to walk but in the 2nd week I could start with rehabilitation and I swam a lot. I felt the feet is getting better. Even Dr. Kolar was surprised that the ankle is healing so quickly. So he told me to start playing tennis. I hope I can start running on court at the end of the week that I feel secure with my anjle and don´t care about it when practicing. I would like to play in Hamburg in two weeks and Dusseldorf, because we got a Wildcard there. I want to play some matches before Roland Garros." This interview is in Czech with NOVA. Tomas started to practice in his homeclub in Prostejov. He is happy to be back on the court and that he can play. Tomas hopes to play Hamburg and then Dusseldorf before the French Open. Hamburg starts May 12th.
