The last tournament of the Masters 1000 series is played in Paris.

Tomas is seeded on position 5, that is why he had a bye in the first round.

In the following second round (his first match in Paris), he defeated F. Verdasco 6-3, 7-5.

The next opponent will either be J. Tipsarevic or A. Bogomolov Jr.

After a few weeks off, Tomas played the Swiss Indoors in Basel, Switzerland.

In his opening match, he played against K. Nishikori, who got a WC for the tournament.

Tomas started good in the match and won the first set 6-3. Afterwards, Nishikori was the luckier one, he won the following two sets 6-3, 6-2.

In “the battle for London”, Tomas is currently on position 6.

It is time for the last Grand Slam tournament of the year, the US Open in New York.

Tomas is seeded on position 9 and is in the upper half of the draw, in the same quarter with number one seeded N. Djokovic.

R. Jouan (Fra) was the opponent in the first round. Tomas got a good start into the tournament, he defeated Jouan with 6-2, 7-6(4), 6-1.

In the next round, Tomas had to play against Italian Fabio Fognini. The opening set was very balanced. Both players had break chances, but Tomas was the one who took the deciding break to win the set 7-5.

Afterwards, Tomas dominated the match, he won the following sets 6-0, 6-0.

Serbian J. Tipsarevic will be the opponent in the third round.

In his first match, Tomas had to play against J. Monaco.

The first set was tough, it ended in a tiebreaker with the better end for Tomas, he won the set 7-6 (2). Afterwards, Tomas was in full control of the match, 6-0 was the result of the second set.

In the next round, number 9 seeded N. Almagro was waiting for Tomas. He defeated the Spaniard 6-2, 6-2.

Roger Federer was the opponent in the 1/4-final. Tomas defeated the current world number 3 with 6-2, 7-6(3).

In the following 1/2-final against N. Djokovic, Tomas had to retire after the first set (5-7) due to problems with his shoulder.

This week, Tomas plays doubles as well. His partner this time is Radek Stepanek. After defeating Almagro/Andujar in the first round and Linstedt/Tecau in the following round. Tomas and Radek did not play the 1/4-final because of Tomas’ injury.

The hard court season started in Montreal, Canada with a Masters 1000.

Tomas was seeded on position 7 which meant that he had a bye in the first round.

After beating A. Dolgopolov and I. Karlovic in the following rounds, J. Tipsarevic was too strong in the 1/4-final. He beat Tomas 6-4, 6-4.

Together with German F. Mayer, Tomas was very successful in doubles, they reached the semifinal (lost to B. and M. Bryan).

The next tournament is the Masters 1000 in Cincinnati. There, Tomas is seeded on position 8.

After a bye in the opening round, Juan Monaco (Arg) will be his opponent in the second round.

In the 1/4-final, Blaz Kavcic was Tomas’ opponent.

Tomas played very good, especially during his opponent’s service games.

With the advantage of a few breaks, he won the match 6-1, 6-4.

In the 1/2-final, topseeded Robin Soderling waits for Tomas.

The match starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

This week, Tomas plays in Bastad, Sweden.

He is seeded on position 3, topseeded is R. Soderling. Because of that, Tomas has a bye in the first round.

In the second round, T. Gabashvili was Tomas’ opponent. Tomas defeated the Russian 6-2, 6-2.

B. Kavcic (Slo) is waiting in the 1/4-final. The match will be the second match on Friday, not before 11 a.m.

After defeating A. Bogomolov Jr. in the third round with 6-2, 6-4, 6-3, M. Fish was Tomas next opponent.

The American is seeded on position 10 during this tournament and showed his great form in the match against Tomas.

Tomas lost  the tight first set 7-6 (5).

Afterwards, Fish stayed in control of the match and won the following sets 6-4, 6-4.
